...will ask that you be home on their first visit.
They will use your equipment, it is essential that you show them exactly which products you prefer to be used on what surfaces. We recommend you devise a detailed prioritized duties and requirements list with your Cleaner, as we find this avoids any communication breakdowns.
In preparation for your Cleaner we suggest that you do a tidy of the home first, alternatively you can employ your Cleaner for a longer shift and have the tidying as part of their job description.
- Cleaners can dust window sills, skirting boards, furniture and sweep, mop and vacuum the entire home. Please make them familiar with the type of vacuum you use, showing them how to empty/replace the bag.
- They can move light furniture and roll up rugs, but for heavy items you will need to arrange assistance.
- Cleaners can clean the toilets, baths, showers, mirrors, sinks and bench tops.
- They can clean the stove, oven, microwave, sinks, bench tops, unload and load the dishwasher and put items away.
- You can request that they wipe out the fridge, straighten linen cupboards and other storage spaces monthly if you wish.
- Your Cleaner can strip and change bed linen and put it on for a wash.
- Your Cleaner can manage the laundry as well, bring washing in from the line, iron, fold and put away in the wardrobes and linen cupboards.
- Your Cleaner can empty rubbish bins and sweep porches.
- Cleaners can dust light fittings and cobwebs if they can reach them with a tall duster, but for window cleaning and high dusting on ladders you will need to approach a commercial cleaning company.
- Cleaners should put away all of the cleaning products and tools used, leaving a note about refills required.
