After School Carers
...can be expected to take care of all child related duties. After School Carers are responsible for child development, educational play, providing age appropriate activities, entertainment and general health and well being.
- After School Carers can pick the children up from school/childcare/kinder, help with homework, readers and can ferry children back and forth to activities such as swimming, music, sport and other appointments.
- After School Carers can help with unloading school bags, placing notices in the communications folder.
- After School Carers can prepare and serve afternoon tea and dinner for the children as needed.
- They can clean up the kitchen after meals, unload, load and fire up the dishwasher.
- If time permits they can also prepare school uniforms and lunches for the next day.
- Depending on time constraints they could also be responsible for stripping and changing the children’s bed linen as needed and bringing in washing and folding it.
- The Carer can also bath/shower and change the children as required.
Basically your After School Carer can step in where the parents leave off, providing love, care, nurturing, support and kindness.
