Permanent Placements

Upon completion by a Carer of at least 10 working days or engagements you may engage the Carer on an ongoing basis. You will need to consider the factors set out below and you will be required to discuss and reach agreement with the Carer on all the points listed in the “Permanent Placement Check List” (available upon request). Armadale Sitters also requires that a written contract be prepared and signed by both you and the Carer. Armadale Sitters can assist with these steps if required.
If you wish to engage the Carer on an ongoing basis you may be required to guarantee a set number of hours (30hrs and over per week). To find out more about your obligations in this regard, please contact

You will be responsible for deducting PAYG tax on behalf of your Carer and for contributions to the Carer’s nominated superannuation fund. Further information is available through the ATO Info Line 13 28 66 Web www.ato.gov.au
You will be required to pay holiday and sick leave entitlements to the Carer in accordance with law.
You will be required to arrange appropriate Work Cover and insurance coverage. Further information can be obtained at the

Upon commencement of any permanent engagement by you of the Carer, you will be provided with a permanent placement Tax Invoice from Armadale Sitters, as per the fee and pricing table. This amount is payable within seven days of receipt.
Any permanent engagement negotiated between you and the Carer shall be subject to a minimum trial period of 10 working days or shifts.
During the first four weeks of the ongoing employment, we will provide assistance with job description modification and training needs and facilitating discussion between Carer and Client where necessary or required.
If, during the first four weeks of a Carer’s ongoing engagement you are dissatisfied with the Carer’s performance or conduct, additional applicants will be put to you for your consideration.
If a suitable applicant is not located, the permanent placement fee will be refunded to you less any daily booking fees that would otherwise have been charged for this period. Armadale Sitters will supply an adjusted Tax Invoice in respect of the apportioned permanent placement fee.
