All Carers come with a Police Check and / or a Working With Children Check http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/workingwithchildren and First Aid or CPR certificate, Doctor’s letters stating that they are fit and well enough to care for others and are covered by public liability insurance. They have been through a thorough interview and reference process, attending either a group or individual interview and induction session covering topics such as behavioural expectations, health and safety, responsibilities, communication etc.

Armadale Sitters’ Carers are available for employment as Independent Contractors (30 hours per week or less) or as Permanent Placements (30 hours per week or more).

Independent Contractors [Click for more information...]

Casual or Permanent- 30 hours per week or less.

As an independent contractor, a Carer can commit to specific days of work with a Client on a short-term or ongoing basis. Such Carer will continue to collect a daily agency fee to be remitted to Armadale Sitters. The engagement of a Carer on an infrequent, short-term or ongoing basis in the capacity of an independent contractor does not require a Client to guarantee permanent work for the Carer, and the engagement can be terminated at any time.

Permanent Placements [Click for more information...]

30 hours per week or more.

Upon completion by a Carer of at least 10 working days or engagements you may engage the Carer on an ongoing basis. You will need to consider the factors set out below and you will be required to discuss and reach agreement with the Carer on all the points listed in the “Permanent Placement Check List” (available upon request). Armadale Sitters also requires that a written contract be prepared and signed by both you and the Carer. Armadale Sitters can assist with these steps if required.
